Kuma I and Kuma II treat each other as father and son. He returned in Tekken 2 however, the bear that appeared in Tekken 3 was Kuma II, a protégé. Kuma which means "Bear" was first introduced in the original Tekken installment. Tekken 7 fans will surely want to watch this promo video. Players will also be glad to know that even their Rage Arts are separate and distinct.

Harada promised that the bears will have their own moves and palette. The physical and virtual crowd cheered the Kuma and Panda inclusion news. Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada announced the news during the King of Iron Fist tournament held in Japan on December 10, 2016.
